Energetic Entrepreneur Seeks Loyal, Honest Person with a good work ethic for Inside Sales / Public Relations Position with a small, rapidly growing company - located in Arlington, VA. You must have exceptional oral and written communication skills and have the ability to supervise others. Your administrative, organizational and computer skills must be above average. You will be selling, scheduling and maintaining quarterly artistic dance classes for children in the Washington Metropolitan Area. You will be part of a team that is growing a small entrepreneurial company.
Work Monday through Friday, approximately 20 to 35 hours per week.
Approximate hours: M-F, 11:30-5:30pm or as much as 10:00am to 6:00pm
Must have flexible daytime hours.
Office located in Arlington / Rosslyn.
Work in a casual home office overlooking the city of Arlington through a beautiful flower garden. Extremely casual dress.
No telecommuting; work must be done from Rosslyn office.
Hours may increase to full time if interested.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work. You should own a car that you have access to during the work hours described above.
Travel to local meetings and to classes is required several times per month; you will be compensated for your auto mileage and parking fees.
Must be seeking a long-term position greater than 3 years and be willing to sign an independent contractor agreement with the terms of the position.
Previous inside sales experience as well as the ability to recruit additional business is a must.
Minimum completion of (2) years of college requested.
Must have excellent written & verbal skills; your ability to communicate effectively is critical to your success.
Must be organized to a fault and have a keen sense of detail. You will be creating a matrix that will consist of each quarter’s extensive class schedule.
Must have excellent computer skills in various programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Express and PowerPoint. Additional skills using photo, music and video software a plus.
This is a very busy office and you must be able to prioritize work, moving from one task to another as the workday dictates.
The position includes Interaction and Public Relations with all TS&Co clients & other TS&Co contractors.
Must have supervisory skills. You will assist in supervising dance instructors.
You will also act as a company advocate for new business at PR Events as well as on the telephone in the office.
Create marketing documents, registration forms and flyers for the company.
Position also includes acting as personal assistant to the company owner.
Paid as a 1099 Contractor.
No benefits as of now; may add medical in the future.
Compensation is negotiable and based on experience.
Must not be allergic to cats. The owner has two (2) friendly, long haired, Maine Coon, grand premier show cats in the office daily. The office is professionally cleaned weekly and the cats are groomed frequently…but longhaired cats do shed.
